It’s nearing that time of year again – thanksgiving then Christmas and to top it all off New Years. Time to get glammed up and sparkle all whilst keeping it classic and classy for dinner parties, Christmas parties; even ugly sweater parties!

I love holiday season, but I especially love New Year’s Eve, the beginning of a new year a new chapter and the last time to show up and show out for 2016 (… no but really). But I’m going to just give you guys a rundown of the top trends for the season that simply won’t let you down – no matter the holiday event.

This holiday season, make sure you ‘Sequin the moment’ and by moment, I mean add sequins into your party attire ever so subtly – Harper’s Bazaar said its time to lose the full sequins dresses and add sequins as a statement piece. Whether it be with a pair of sequins embellished pants or even a full sequins blazer, it moves away from the norm, all whilst allowing you to stand out.

If not sequins, then it’s time you start to Value velvet. Deep reds, gold, or even a royal blue velvet, will add warmth to any holiday ensemble. This season velvet blazers are very much what you’ll be seeing. Pair your blazer with a high waisted patterned trouser to bring out the colour and a strappy heel to add length. You can either wear your blazer closed with no shirt or opened with a crisp white button down (which ever you prefer).

NB. For these looks on a budget visit sites such as misguided and pretty little thing – they’re my go to online shops, for everything that sparkles and everything is surprisingly true to size!
