Introducing PSE Intern : Keilaray Hassell

And we’re back with the final installment of the introduction of the PSE interns.

Over the past couple of weeks we’ve met some really talented youngsters who love the arts and much as we do at PSE.

To wrap it all up and prep us for our Intern Showcase we have our final intern, Keilaray Hassell!

PSE: What is your name?

KH: My name is Keilaray Tahj Wayne Hassell.

PSE: Do you have any nicknames; something friends call you by?

KH: My friends and family call me “Kei” or “Laray”.

PSE: How old are you Kei?

KH: I am 16 years old.

 
 
PSE: Which school do you attend?

KH: I attend Bermuda Institute.

PSE: What got you into Photography?

KH: My grandfather got me into photography.

PSE: What does the art of photography mean to you?

KH: Photography to me is the art of capturing moments of time to portray an idea or concept of what we simply miss in everyday life.

PSE: When did you start taking pictures?

KH: I started taking pictures when I got in a photography class at school, which was about four years ago. I fell in love with it and I’ve been taking pictures ever since.

PSE: Can you describe how you felt when you received your very own camera?

KH: I was content and excited when received my own camera.

PSE: Who do you consider to be your mentor?

KH: My mentor would have to be my photography teacher Mr. Miller, but I’ve also received help from my grandfather throughout the years.

PSE: What are your career aspirations when you graduate?

KH:  I would like to continue doing photography part-time, while working in my field of choice.

PSE: What are your favorite subjects to shoot?

IKH:  would have to say, a little bit of everything; from sports to urban lifestyle to even nature.

PSE: What inspires you to create?

KH:  get inspired from everyday life; from seeing what could be an excellent picture to capture and to show what people would often miss in life.

PSE: What have you gained from this PSE Internship?

KH: I have gained some knowledge and experience of what it is like to be in the entertainment industry.
