LoveBomb Inc: A Girls’ Night Ensemble

| LoveBomb | www.PinkSandBermuda.com

Hello #Lovers,

I trust you all are ready for the Holiday festivities. Some already taking part in such. 🙂 I love this time of year. Don’t you?!

As I count down the days until Christmas break, trust me I am counting, I’m preparing for quality time with my gal pals. For my first Friday back on the island, I look forward to our Christmas Gift Exchange dinner at Marcus’, located at Fairmont Hamilton Princess, followed by a night out on the town. #imissmygals With that said, I was in need of an ensemble.

The 90’s trend is still lingering around and to avoid being apart of it with the simple black slip dress from my closet, I decided a revamp was in order. When deciding on a dress during the holidays its no cliche to go with say a sequin dress. Put a bit more effort into your look and don’t be so predictable.

What to Wear, How to Pair: I will be pairing this one-of-a-kind LBD with black leather thigh high socks, pumps, a faux fur hat and a chained cutch! Jewellery I never plan so we’ll see how that goes 🙂

Here’s a step-by-step on how I spiced up my LBD!!

Supplies Needed:
Little Black Dress (The Garage Boutique)
Pleated Fabric Trimming (local trimmings store)
Fringe Pom Poms (local trimmings store)
Fabric Scissors
Needle & Thread
Sewing Machine
Fabric Chalk
Pins

Step One:
Lets start by attaching the Pleated Fabric Trimming to the hem of your LBD. I found that the best way to do this is to pin from the inside of the hem only to stitch from the outside following the existing stitch on the hem of your dress.

NOTE: Be creative, you can use fringe or maybe even a lace fabric to add length or a bit of funk to your simple LBD. Have fun with it!!

Step Two:
All that’s needed is your needle & thread to attach the Fringe Pom Poms. First, using your fabric chalk decide on and mark the placement of your pom poms.

Step Three:

Attaching the collar is as simple as this. Pin your Pleated Fabric Trimming to the neckline of your dress. I decided that pinning beneath the neckline fold worked best for me. Next up, using your machine sew along the existing stitch on the Pleated Fabric Trimming for a secured placement.

All done,
Now its your turn! 😉
