Every Friday evening from July 12th to August 23rd, the 400 year old Old Towne of St. George in Bermuda will be transformed from 7 to 10pm for the revived Heritage Nights event.

Hosted by the Corporation of St. George in partnership with PinkSand Entertainment, Heritage Nights will feature live music, exciting entertainment and delicious food, including local retail vendors, historical tours, a children’s zone, live bands and special deals. The shops along Water Street and around the town will be open late.

George Dowling III, the Mayor of St George, said last night: “We took to reviving Heritage Nights, to engage both locals and tourists alike, to provide an experience in our town, to serve as a catalyst to promote St George and generate more excitement in our nightlife.”  Jonathan Tankard, of PinkSand Entertainment, added: “St. George is bursting with culture and beauty representing the best of what Bermuda has to offer. This is an idyllic venue and we’ve added entertainment and activities that will guarantee a good night out for everyone.”  Cyniqua Anderson, CorpSt.Geo Councilor emphasized that “Each Friday night is an opportunity for visitors to explore the many reasons that make St. George so unique.” She said “There are a number of things for guests to do when they come down on a Friday night.  They can tour a UNESCO World Heritage Site, check out our unique Bermuda retail offerings and dining experiences, or hang out in King’s Square with live entertainment, enjoy refreshments and our children’s zone.”

Residents and visitors alike are invited and welcomed to come out and enjoy the festivities.  Attendees can pick up a Heritage Nights passport featuring a map of the town’s restaurants, stores, and historic sites.  Participating vendors will stamp your passport for the chance to win weekly prizes.  Various personalities will be the event MC.
